Important SDI River Excursion and Raft Race Information:
Fort Wayne, In – The Three Rivers Festival Board of Directors regrets to announce the Three Rivers Festival Raft Race and the Steel Dynamics Free River Excursions, planned for this year’s Three Rivers Festival, have been cancelled. The cancellation is due to the current and ongoing condition of the Saint Mary’s, Saint Joseph and Maumee rivers.
“The increased speed and height of the rivers, along with an excess of debris on the shorelines and in the rivers, have left the rivers unsafe to host these events,” explained Jack Hammer, Executive Director of the Three Rivers Festival, “Although we look forward to these events each year, we will always err on the side of caution when it comes to the safety of our community and volunteers.”
Everyone that preregistered for the Raft Race can receive a full refund after the festival by contacting the Three Rivers Festival office.
Weather permitting all other Three Rivers Festival events will continue as planned.
For more information, contact the Festival office at 260-426-5556.
